Toddler Group Fees
We have agreed to raise fees slightly so from September the fee for the first child will be £3.50.  A second child will remain at £1.20 with baby siblings under one free.  Carers with babies under one will still be £1.50 on a drop in basis.
 
For those who are coming back in the autumn and are able to pay before Monday 6th September by BACS or cheque, we will keep the current fees (£3.30) as a bonus.
 
So for the first half-term (7th September - 21 October) fees are:
Monday - 6 weeks -  £19.80 (before 6th Sept) or £21 (in the group).
Tuesday/Friday - 7 weeks  - £23.10 (before 6th September) or £24.50 (in the group).
 
Please note that no refunds are given when a week is missed due to short-term illness or a holiday.  Please talk to the leader if you are missing several weeks due to some other reason.  If you would like to pay with BACS, details can be emailed to you.
 
Toddler Group Places
We will have a few spaces on all three days from September and will be advertising widely over the summer.  If you could put a poster up in your garden or in a local shop or pass some leaflets to friends, please email us and we will get a poster to you quickly.  However, PLEASE do not put posters up on any City Council railings, even if they are covered in other people's advertising, as we will be fined.
 
Summer Holidays
Roundabout closes for the summer holidays.  There are some activities for the under 5s being run by the ArC Children's centre.  Also some of us will be planning to spend Friday mornings in Histon Road Rec from about 10 am, in good weather, so maybe see you there?

Committee
A parent mentioned that if there were more information about roles and responsibilities, then more people may join up.  We will be looking for 3 or 4 new members in the autumn (joining at the Annual General Meeting in October).  The basic time commitment is one committee meeting each half-term; these are currently from 7.45pm on a Wednesday evening at someone's house and they usually go on to about 10.30pm (people can come late or leave early if they need to). It is up to the individual member how much more they choose to give; there's a lot of email communication in between the meetings.  Committee is responsible for: finances including payroll and end of year accounts, recruitment and overseeing staffing, fundraising, publicity; committee is not involved in the day to day running of the groups which is the responsibility of the staff.  We are also the trustees of the charity (no 1027240); see 'The Essential Trustee'.  If you'd like to know more, please speak to Eileen (the current chairperson) or have a look through our Operational Plan folder which lives just inside the preschool door.
 
Questionnaire feedback
More feedback to come, but thank you for all your responses.  In Toddler Group we may experiment with slightly different schedules to see if anything can make the end of the session feel less rushed.  Also, the goodbye song will be at 11.40am to allow time to clear the room properly by 12.  Suzanne Farrow will continue as the leader on Mondays and Tuesdays and we will hopefully have news soon about a new leader for Fridays.  In preschool and playgroup the staff are working out ways to improve access to the children's files to improve feedback to parents.
 
Fundraising and Socials
For the autumn and winter we are planning: a new recipe book, the Christmas Fair provisionally for Sunday 28th November, and will also be holding a family social.  We're also planning some extra coffee mornings to help parents and carers get to know each other.
