Committee

Under Fives Roundabout is run by an elected committee, which ensures that major decision-making is in the hands of the parents who use the groups. The committee is responsible for reviewing both policy and practice, and for the employment and appraisal of members of staff. Our Annual General Meeting, at which the committee for the following year is elected, is held in October. Parents will be informed in good time so they are able to attend.

Under Fives Roundabout is a registered charity and depends on fees, fundraising and occasional grants to pay expenses. The committee therefore plays a major role in organising fundraising events to help with running costs and to buy new equipment. The committee also organises trips out for the children e.g. a teddy bear's picnic in the local park, or a visit to a local museum; and visits to the Pre-School Playgroup and Toddler Group by other organisations and individuals e.g. the Fire Service, animal handlers, etc.
